Getting ready for a few weeks away from the dock is not as simple as some would think.
For the past couple of weeks we've been doing extensive preventative maintenance on the yacht and her systems so we're not caught out at sea.
We've hauled out and changed the cutlass bearing; tightened the stuffing boxes, and rebuilt the dinghy transom.
>I've spent a few days reviewing our past trips south, and plotting new ones. Part of that means checking the Notice to Mariners and getting up to date information from VMR on the Wide Bay Bay and Mooloolah River bar.
It's all going to plan at this stage, and we hope to be away very soon. I'll keep you posted.
